1. What is National Boards & What are MY Parameters?

Most candidates are unsuccessful for 1 simple reason: NOT thoroughly learning the process.  This session will focus on:
- The advantages of becoming a NBCT (National Board Certified Teacher)
- National Board 3.0: What are the newest changes to the process and how do they affect YOU?
- Becoming familiar with National Boards Standards
- Becoming familiar with guidelines for one’s specific certification area

 2. Where do I start?

- Creating a personalized timeline for the process

3. Picking Smarter, NOT Harder: How to Choose Focus Students & Classes (Component 2 focus)

- This session will teach candidates how to systematically choose students & classes for components

4. Capturing YOUR Best: How to Videotape (Component 3 focus)
Date/Time: Saturday, December 10, 2016 (4:00pm-6:00pm)

- This session will cover HOW and WHAT to videotape for each required component.

5. NBCT Writing: How is it different from other common writing (ALL Components)
Date/Time: Saturday, January 21, 2017 (4:00pm-6:00pm)

- This session will help candidates focus their lens on the type of writing required by the National Board process

6. Self-Critiquing for Success: How to vet your own work
Date/Time: Saturday, February 18, 2017 (4:00pm-6:00pm)

- By becoming equipped to skillfully vet your own work, you can decrease the need (and dependency) on getting critiques from others.  This session will teach candidates how to become their best ally in meeting the National Boards standards.

7. Unit assistance from certified teachers & support coaches  (Component 1 focus)
Date/Time: Saturday, March 18, 2017 (4:00pm-6:00pm)

- National Board-certified teachers and support coaches will be available to answer questions and help candidates vet their entries

8. How to be an “Assessment Center Assassin”
Date/Time: Saturday, April 22, 2017 (4:00pm-6:00pm

- Participants will be given an overview & best practice tips for tackling the assessment center process
